Automotive parts distributor, Probe Corporation, sees health, safety and environmental affairs as one of its highest priorities. Therefore, it has developed and implemented an integrated management system framework incorporating the most recent international standards.

Probe says that this will enable the organisation to document and improve its practices in order to better satisfy the needs and expectations of customers, stakeholders and interested parties.

This includes the ISO 9001:2015, for quality management systems. It specifies requirements for organisations to demonstrate their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

Furthermore, Probe provides a framework to further enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

The recent ISO 45001:2018 standard specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety (OHS) management system. This gives guidance for organisations to provide safe and healthy workplaces by preventing work-related injury and ill health, as well as by proactively improving its OH&S performance.

According to the Probe, a shared responsibility begins with management, who commit to providing a safe working environment for staff along with the necessary processes and procedures to enhance this. In turn, employees commit to performing work responsibly and in accordance with safe standards and practices.

Probe believes that a successful OHS programme should embody the correct attitudes toward incident, injury and illness prevention. In turn, these attitudes should be embedded in all employees, from departmental heads, managers and supervisors through to employees and their interactions with co-workers.

Probe Corporation says that it is resolute in the ongoing development and improvement of its OHS programme, with a focus on the reduction of incidents and injury for all employees. It is confident that the programme, which reflects best practice in the industry, will keep Probe contractors, vendors, employees and the environment, safe and sound.
