A-OSH Expo 2019 will take place at the Gallagher Convention Centre between 14 and 16 May – and it’s set to be a bumper show. “The number of returning visitors from a growing list of countries tells us that the value we believe is inherent to trade shows and exhibitions is growing,” says Sven Smit, portfolio director at Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery. “A-OSH Expo anticipates welcoming almost 3 500 visitors from over 20 countries in 2019. They are choosing to attend due, in point, to the fact that we bring them well over 100 OHS-focussed exhibitors they actually want to see, all together in one place over a jam-packed spate of time.” Smit adds that visitors will benefit through extensive networking opportunities, purchasing interactions and the ability to stay on top of industry trends. There will definitely be something for everyone… The expo will offer visitors access to suppliers and specialists in the fields of working at heights; fire and safety; safety gear; footwear; personal and protective equipment (PPE); wellness at work programmes; and health consulting and screening. That’s not to forget the popular, free-to-attend seminar theatre sessions – including the PASMA Working @ Heights Theatre and the South African Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (Saiosh) free-to-attend seminars, the Occu|Fit Wellness Zone and the annual InFIRes Workshop by the Fire Protection Association of South Africa (FPASA). Tickets to the exhibition also allow visitors free entrance to the co-located Securex South Africa 2019 expo – Africa’s biggest security trade show – as well as, for the first time, the Facilities Management Expo – the focused trade expo for the facilities management industry.
